The Western Washington University men's golf team was in a three-way tie for second place after Monday's first round at the Cal State Monterey Bay Invitational being played at the Bayonet Golf Club in Seaside, Calif.
The second round was suspended because of darkness. Action resumes Tuesday at 8 a.m. followed by the third and final round.
Host CSUMB is in first place with a 14-stroke lead after shooting 3-under par 285.
The Vikings are in second at 299, tied with Nova Southeastern and St. Edward's. Craig Crawford led WWU with a 1-under 71.
Dylan Goodwin shot 73, Mark Strickland 77, Jake Webb 78 and Sandy Vaughan 78 for the Vikings.
