BELLINGHAM - A free talk on the practical how-to's of alternative transportation will be held Friday, Oct. 26, at Western Washington University.
Kristen Wert, coordinator of the Smart Trips program, will discuss "Transportation in Bellingham," at 3 p.m. in the Communications Facility building, room 125.
Her talk, part of Western's Huxley College of the Environment Speaker Series, will focus on how to get around the city by bus or bike, or on foot. Tips will include how bicyclists can share the road with vehicles, and "must-have" gear for winter weather.
