Gas prices finally took a tumble in Bellingham, according to AAA Washington.
The average price for a gallon of gas in Bellingham on Monday, Oct. 22, was $4.08, down 12 cents from last week. That's still up 14 cents from a year earlier, according to the data from the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
Among major Washington metro areas, Bellingham still has the highest average price, followed by Seattle at $4.02 a gallon. The least expensive gas is in Spokane, at an average of $3.90 a gallon.
Diesel gas prices also dropped in Bellingham. On Oct. 22 the average price locally was $4.27 a gallon, down nine cents from a week earlier.
