BELLINGHAM - The eighth annual Mammogram Party will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Mt. Baker Imaging, 4029 Northwest Ave.

Organizers aim to raise awareness about breast cancer, and remind women to get their annual mammograms as part of national Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

Goodie bags, sweet treats and information will be distributed. Women can get a mammogram during the event, or book an appointment for their annual screening later.

Doctors will be there to answer questions about breast cancer screenings and their importance.

Also, Fringe Salon stylists will put a lock of pink hair into donors' hair for a $10 donation to the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" effort.
