The Lynden Christian girls' soccer team earned a 3-1 win against Friday Harbor in a non-conference match Saturday, Oct. 20, at Lynden Christian. It was the final game of the Lyncs' regular season.
Courtney Hollander scored a goal and recorded an assist, and Haley Hollander and Lexi Vander Griend added two more scores.
"I thought it was a very focused effort for a third match of the week," Lynden Christian coach Brent De Ruyter said in a phone interview. "We made some good adjustments at half, and I thought the girls responded and executed."
Friday Harbor's Emily Guard scored the Wolverines' lone goal in the 50th minute.
The Lyncs (9-6-1, 6-6-0 NWC) earned the district's No. 1 seed in the Class 1A District Tournament and will host Coupeville at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24.
