Whatcom County residents interested in checking out the King Tut exhibit currently showing in Seattle's Pacific Science Center can sign up for a field trip offered by Whatcom Community College Friday, Nov. 30.

The deadline to register for the trip is Tuesday, Oct. 30. It costs $85, including transportation on a Bellair charter coach, admission to "Tutankhamun: the Golden King and the Great Pharaohs" exhibit, an IMAX movie and an audio tour guide.

The exhibit features more than 100 objects from King Tut's tomb and other ancient Egyptian sites, with some items never before on display in the U.S.

After the exhibit, participants will have time for a mid-afternoon lunch or a little shopping before returning to Bellingham. The bus will leave from Whatcom Community College at 9 a.m. and be back no later than 6 p.m.

Anyone interested in the trip can register by calling 360-383-3200 or go online to whatcomcommunityed.com.
