The Squalicum volleyball team defeated Lynden Christian 21-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-22 in a Northwest Conference match on Thursday, Oct. 18, in Lynden.
"It was amazing. This was a big night for us," Squalicum coach Julie Clift said in a phone interview. "We have been looking forward to this one. We struggled in the first set but we were able to play our tempo in the last three. Big victory for us."
Squalicum was led by Meghan Lowry with 18 kills and 17 digs, Tirsa Randall-Grutter with 39 assists and Mikayla Chang with 22 digs.
Squalicum is now 10-3, 8-3 NWC and will host Anacortes on Wednesday, Oct. 24, while Lynden Christian (5-6, 5-5 NWC) will play at Sehome on Monday, Oct. 22.
