The Nooksack Valley volleyball team swept Bellingham 25-17, 25-21, 25-23 in Northwest Conference action Thursday, Oct. 18.
The Pioneers improved to 6-6, 5-5 NWC while the Red Raiders dropped to 5-7, 4-6 NWC.
"We executed our game plan really well tonight and served and passed well," Nooksack Valley coach Jennifer Simmons said in a phone interview.
McKenzie Impero led the Pioneers with 18 kills and four aces. Taryn Tenkley added six kills for Nooksack Valley.
Bellingham was led by Anna Zeegers who had nine kills, Kellie Hofstetter who had 15 assists and Tess Owen with 18 digs.
"Nooksack came out really well," Bellingham coach Kim Bjorklund said in a phone interview. "The last two games were close and could have gone either way."
