Olivia Olason scored a hat trick as Blaine defeated Sedro-Woolley 6-2 in a Northwest Conference match on Thursday, Oct. 18, in Blaine.
"I thought we put a complete game together," Blaine coach Dan Steelquist said in a phone interview. "It was our best team effort all season."
Blaine also got goals from Liz Berry, Ashley Quesada and Hope Wilkett.
"It was a really well played match and Sedro is a lot better than their record shows," Steelquist said. "I am just really happy that the girls get to play in the playoffs after being out of them for so long."
Blaine qualified for the postseason as the third place team for 1A.
The Borderites are now 5-7-4, 3-5-4 NWC.
