Kim Hazlett recorded a hat trick as Squalicum won 8-1 at Lynden Christian in Northwest Conference girls' soccer action Thursday, Oct. 18.
The win improved the Storm to 13-1-1, 10-1-0 NWC while the Lyncs dropped to 8-6-1, 6-6-0 NWC.
"Squalicum is really amazing; they are peaking at the right time," Lynden Christian coach Brent De Ruyter said in a phone interview. "We just couldn't match that level, especially speed-wise."
Hazlett scored first for Squalicum in the sixth minute and added two more goals in the 12th and 19th minutes. Jackie Dierdorff scored twice for the Storm. Also scoring for Squalicum were Leigha Schjelderup, Michelle Saunders and Rachel Dorr.
Sara Dougan scored in the 58th minute for Lynden Christian.
