WWU men's soccer loses in overtime

Western Washington University remained winless on the road as it fell 2-1 in overtime to Montana State University Billings in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's soccer game Thursday, Oct. 18, in Billings, Mont.

The Vikings, who have lost seven straight away games dating back to 2011 and are 0-5 this season, fell to 5-7-2 overall, 3-5-2 in the GNAC. The contest was the first of a season-ending stretch of five road encounters.

MSUB improved to 8-4-1 overall and 5-4-1 in league play as Thomas Sheets found the upper right corner of the net with a 30-yard shot in the 95th minute. It was Sheets' fourth goal of the campaign and Joshua Marocchi was credited with an assist.

Conner Moe gave the Yellowjackets a 1-0 lead in the 63rd minute, scoring his first goal of the season on a penalty kick.

The Vikings' Sujinda Dangvan tied the game with less than four minutes left in regulation on a penalty kick. It was his team-leading sixth goal of the season.
