Ballots are going in the mail Friday, Oct. 19, for the Nov. 6 general election, Whatcom County Auditor Debbie Adelstein said.

Registered voters who have not received their ballots by Friday, Oct. 26, should call the Election Division of the Auditor's Office at 360-676-6742.

Ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 6 to be valid.

The county has six drop boxes where ballots can be submitted. Drop ballots no later than 8 p.m. on Nov. 6.

• Deming Library, 5044 Mt. Baker Highway.

• Whatcom Education Credit Union branch, 106 E. Main St., Eversom

• Ferndale City Hall, 2095 Main St.

• Lynden Library (behind the building), 216 4th St.

• Meridian Middle School, 861 Ten Mile Road.

• Whatcom County Courthouse south parking lot, 201 Grand Ave.

New voters have until Oct. 29 to register in person at the Auditor's Office, 311 Grand Ave., Suite 103, Bellingham. Registrations by mail and online are no longer being accepted for this election.
