Sunday, Oct. 14 girls' soccer power rankings

Published: October 14, 2012

1. Sehome (1): Sehome has outscored opponents 20-1 in its last six matches.

2. Squalicum (4): Not many teams score against the Storm defense. It's offensive is coming along, too.

3. Burlington-Edison (3): The Tigers end the season with tests against Bellingham and Sehome.

4. Bellingham (2): The Red Raiders have won two straight after losing to Squalicum and Sehome last week.

5. Ferndale (6): Jordin Bartel has come on of late for the Golden Eagles.

6. Meridian (3): The Trojans have only won once in the last two weeks.

7. Lynden Christian (7): The Lyncs helped Sedro-Woolley get its first league win, but are still in good shape for a playoff spot.

8. Blaine (8): Every match it seems the Borderites become more competitive.

9. Mount Baker (11): The Mountaineers beat the Cubs and barely lost to Blaine.

10. Anacortes (10): A win against Nooksack Valley snapped its four-game skid.

11. Sedro-Woolley (13): The Cubs earned a huge 2-0 win against Lynden Christian.

12. Lynden (9): Although the Lions are looking for NWC win No. 1, they've been competitive.

13. Nooksack Valley (12): The Pioneers are playing teams tough.
