The Nooksack Valley volleyball team lost 25-10, 25-21, 25-14 in a Northwest Conference match on Thursday, Oct. 11, at Nooksack Valley High School.

"We actually had a great match and I think we played them really tough," Nooksack Valley coach Jennifer Simmons said in a phone interview. "The scores didn't reflect how we played. Anacortes is a great team and I think we played well against them."

The Pioneers were led by McKenzie Impero with eight kills and Mariah Perry and Lindsay Hayes combined for 16 digs.

"Mariah did a great job in the back and Lindsay had a great blocking game," Simmons said.

Nooksack Valley falls to 5-5, 4-4 NWC and will play at Sehome on Thursday, Oct. 16.
