Suggests review of political rhetoric

Published: October 12, 2012

The triple bottom line, an economic concept, is a helpful tool to remember for sifting through political rhetoric (listed in order of importance):

No. 1 People: health and safety, economic and social well-being;

No. 2 Planet: protection of everything that makes life possible on the earth;

No. 3 Profit: the money, goods and services that allow the people and the planet to thrive.

Many people, of all political persuasions, believe that we have "lost our way." Using the triple bottom line could help point us in the right direction.
