Dimitri Sampson played a part in six scoring plays as the Lummi football team defeated host Muckleshoot 71-28 in a Northwest 1B league game Wednesday, Oct. 10.
The win improved the Blackhawks to 5-2.
Sampson returned a punt and kick for a touchdown, rushed for three touchdowns and threw for one score.
Deion Hoskins rushed for two touchdowns and finished with more than 100 yards rushing for the Blackhawks.
"Our offensive line opened up a lot of big holes so it made it easy for our running backs," Lummi coach Jim Sandusky said in a phone interview.
Also making big plays for Lummi was Devin Cooper, who scored on a long touchdown catch, and Richard Edwards, who returned an interception for a touchdown.
Lummi held Muckleshoot to less than 50 yards rushing.
The Blackhawks don't have much time off as they play again Friday, Oct. 12, at home against Clallam Bay.
