The Whatcom Community College women's soccer team, which is in first place in the NWAACC North Division, played to a 0-0 tie with Edmonds Community College on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at WCC.

Goalie Allie Holterman had seven saves in goal for the Orcas, who are 8-1-2 overall and 6-1-2 in the North.

Coach Claire Morgan said her team had some opportunities late.

"It took us awhile to get in the flow of the game," Morgan said in a phone interview as some adjustments were made. "We had some chances in the second half but we just didn't put one in the back of the net."

WCC plays at Everett at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, in another North Division matchup.
