'Unconventional Convention' promotes unified action

Published: October 10, 2012

BELLINGHAM - An effort called Us for Precedent will sponsor what it calls an "Unconventional Convention" from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at Presence Studio, 1412 Cornwall Ave.

The focus of the free event is "Youth, Adults & Elders Blending Ideas for Action." Organizers say people who attend can learn to overcome divisiveness and discuss positive steps for personal and community well-being. Youths will prepare a theatrical presentation of their vision of the world they want to live in, led by Drue Robinson, director of Bellingham Children's Theatre.
