The Nooksack Valley volleyball team lost 25-17, 25-23, 25-19 at home against Burlington-Edison in a Northwest Conference match on Tuesday, Oct. 9.

"Burlington did a good job on defense," Nooksack Valley coach Jennifer Simmon said in a phone interview. "They are really scrappy and passed well and they hit really well. We had quite a few unforced errors, but they definitely put the pressure on us and won the game."

The Pioneers were led by McKenzie Impero with 11 kills and Taryn Tenkley with four digs.
