Sehome finishes NWC regular season undefeated

The Sehome boys' tennis team defeated host Anacortes 6-1 to finish the Northwest Conference regular season undefeated Tuesday, Oct. 9.

The win improved the Mariners to 16-1, 13-0 NWC in their final regular season match before district play.

"We were very happy about that and proud of the guys," Sehome coach Bonna Giller said in a phone interview.

The Mariners received singles wins from Avery West, Nick Smith, Brady Anderson and Arie Knops.

"All the singles matches they all played really well," Giller said.

Winning in doubles for Sehome were Johan Lahud-Zahner/Jason Newell and Reece Gilber/Max Shmotolokha.

Anacortes dropped to 6-9, 5-8 NWC.
