Published: October 9, 2012

A 34-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing a Skagit County man with a chainsaw in a home north of Sedro-Woolley, according to the Skagit County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies found Louis J. Auriemma, 52, dead in his house in the 4800 block of Blank Road, just south of the Whatcom County border, at about 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8. The man had chainsaw wounds to his head. An autopsy was set for Wednesday morning.

Deputies arrested the other man at about 10 a.m. Tuesday on suspicion of the killing. He was a tenant at the Blank Road property, and deputies believe that a dispute may have led to the chainsaw attack.

Authorities wouldn't release his name Tuesday, but Justin Morgan Daly, 34, was arrested about the same time on suspicion of second-degree murder and booked into Skagit County Jail, according to the jail log. He has a violent criminal history including convictions for robbery, assault and witness tampering.
