The Sehome girls' and boys' cross country teams are ranked No. 1 in the Class 2A as the Washington state cross country coaches' poll was released on Sunday, Oct. 7.

The Mariners lead the boys' rankings ahead of Squalicum which is ranked No. 2 and Bellingham (No. 3).

In the 2A girls' rankings Bellingham is No. 5 and Burlington-Edison is No. 6.

Several Whatcom County teams are also ranked in the Class 1A polls. In the boys' boll Lynden Christian is No. 5 and Meridian is No. 6. In the girls' poll, Lynden Christian is No. 7, Meridian is No. 8 and Mount Baker is No. 10.

Charles Wright Academy is ranked No. 1 in 1A boys and Nine Mile Falls Lakeside is No. 1 in 1A girls.
