One Whatcom County team was listed in the Washington high school volleyball coaches state polls released on Monday, Oct. 9.

The Lynden Christian volleyball team is ranked No. 8 in Class 1A. Castle Rock is the top-ranked 1A team.

The other top-ranked teams are Mead (Class 4A), Prairie (3A), Yakima West Valley (2A), Colfax (2B) and Tekoa-Oaksdale (1B).

Northwest Conference teams Anacortes and Burlington-Edison are ranked No. 5 and No. 10 in Class 2A, respectively.
