I respect that some Americans don't want another term from our president. Mr. Obama hasn't fixed every problem. When did Americans become so quick to expect miracles or change from one person? Were we not in a financial hole before President Obama? These critical citizens reflect the very politicians they blame by demanding instant change. Where is citizen initiative -- those who pick up others' garbage, who support overburdened support systems through volunteerism?
I, among thousands, lost my job with the economy's downturn in 2008, pre-Obama. And I have not given up hope! We finally have a president who truly wants all Americans to have health care, a president who is non-confrontational, calm, and thoughtful ... needed in volatile times. Moreover, we have a president who is bringing back American jobs, not exporting them, unlike Mr. Romney.
I fear if Mr. Romney is elected, more jobs will go overseas, we will have intensified problems in the middle east and I'm positive that Mr. Romney will start the draft in order to have adequate troops needed to replace our current (overloaded) service people. Don't believe that the opposing side's nominee is disinterested in the Middle East, see the July 13 edition of the Jackson Hole News and Guide -- my former town's newspaper -- to see Dick Cheney's interest in Mr. Romney. We cannot go down that road again.
