This heartfelt thank you goes out to all the caregivers, hospice, medical staff and facilities that care for our seniors in their golden year. These people have hearts of pure gold reinforced by the strongest steel. I find it a cruel joke that life means our once-youthful, able, energetic and confident minds and bodies slip away. My mother is left with no dignity or self-respect. I find myself in tears helping care for my mom during this stage of life. What a sad ending to a once-vibrant, purpose-filled existence.
Thank you to the staff at Emeritus on Old Fairhaven Parkway, whom I believe to be the true backbones of our society. Thank you seems so insignificant compared to their duties, all done with compassion.
