I need to thank someone. It's Friday night at 6, and I stop at Sunset pond off of James Street to walk the two Shih Tzus. Mom died a year ago and I bought her house to help with her quality of life the last two years. Anyway, Tipper, mom's black Shih Tzu, saw something across James Street and as I unloaded the two sisters (5-years-old) Tipper decided to bolt across the street - broke off the lead, and luckily there were people who were doing the speed limit and saw her and stopped. I was too distressed to even thank them with a wave.
Then when I worked out Tipper had broken her lead and so she could chase whatever she saw. She was coming back across James (with a huge truck that stopped for her, too). I love the little Shih Tzu, she was my mom's dog, and could never have predicted she'd bolt like that. I am lucky, these are house dogs, they have no clue about what a road is. I am thankful for all those drivers and cars that stopped for her. She is safe now and how could you put a cute dog in the doghouse?
