Little Bird Theater presents "The Raft," a new play by Bellingham playwright Ben Eisner, starting Friday, Oct. 12.
Galen Emanuele and Eliott Glasser portray Duck and Davey, best friends stuck at sea. They ration food, fight off sharks and make up a movie to pass the time. Carolyn McCarthy directs the play, which she describes as a cross between "Waiting for Godot" and "Life of Pi."
"The Raft" shows at Little Bird's temporary home, 1309 Cornwall Ave. Opening night is Oct. 12, and audiences are invited to join the cast and director for a post-show reception. "The Raft" then shows at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday through Oct. 27.
Tickets are $15 general, $10 students and seniors, available at Community Food Co-op and the door. The play is suitable for people ages 12 and older.
