Willamette University senior Madisyn Leenstra (Sehome) was selected the Northwest Conference Volleyball Student Athlete of the Week for Sept. 24-30 after she compiled a .301 hitting percentage and 3.62 kills per set in a pair of matches.

Leenstra recorded 15 kills, seven digs and three blocks in the Bearcats' five-set victory over No. 10 Puget Sound, and added 14 kills, eight digs and two blocks in a three-set loss to Pacific Lutheran.

Before earning the top honor last week, Leenstra was selected honorable mention in three of the first four weeks of the season.
