Trojans fall at home to Seahawks in volleyball

The Meridian volleyball team lost at home to Anacortes 25-14, 25-15, 25-13 in Northwest Conference action Thursday, Oct. 4.

The win dropped the Trojans to 2-5, 1-4 NWC while the Seahawks improved to 8-0, 6-0 NWC.

"Anacortes is a really good team," Meridian coach Shannon Claeys said in a phone interview. "We played well and didn't have too many unforced errors."

Sydney Wasilewski led the Trojans with 13 kills while Nicole Hofbauer had 13 assists. Allecia Galindo added four kills and six digs for Meridian.
