There has been another death at the intersection of Mount Baker Highway, Marshall Hill Road and Deming Road. It brings tears to my eyes. Last week -- same corner, bad accident, old truck on its side, black car smashed in -- emergency vehicles everywhere.

I was on my way to the local store in Deming. Roads run at unusual angles at this corner with blind spots galore! I live on Marhall Hill Road and it's dangerous and nerve-racking turning left onto Marshall Hill Road from Mount Baker Highway. While most drivers pass on the right, and westbound traffic (mostly Nooksack River Casino employees) are turning left onto Deming Road.

There have been numerous accidents at this intersection. Winter is even worse with skiers passing on the right eager to get to the hill. Someone needs to come and check this out -- you can't miss it -- look for the flowers and American flag at this intersection.

Let's prevent further accidents and deaths and put a round-about here.
