The Whatcom Community College womens' soccer team defeated Skagit Community College 1-0 in a NWAACC game Wednesday, Oct. 3.
"We had the run of play and created a lot of chances. Their keeper had a great game," Whatcom coach Claire Morgan said in a phone interview. "Bri Smith's goal was pretty great. She chipped the keeper. I am glad we scored because I thought we deserved to win the game."
Smith scored the goal for Whatcom in the 64th minute.
"They keep finding ways to win and I can't complain," Morgan said.
The Orcas maintained their first-place position and improved to a 7-1-1, 5-1-1 NWAACC record.
