The Bellingham boys' tennis team defeated Ferndale 7-0 in a Northwest Conference match on Wednesday, Oct. 3, in Bellingham.

"We had a good day. I thought our singles played well today," Bellingham coach Steve Chronister said in a phone interview. "They all had good wins. Sometimes the quality of the win is impressive and it was good quality play from all of our singles today."

Shane Miller defeated Trevor Koehn 6-2, 6-4 in the first singles match and Charlie Carmichael defeated Taylor Walton 6-1, 6-3.

"I liked the way Shane and Charlie came back from being down in the their second sets," Chronister said. "They were a little bit behind and had to put it in another gear. They responded well."

The Red Raiders' Auden Schilder and E.J. Troutman defeated Joshua Mielke and Matt Scott 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, and Nate Pearsall and Logan Schilder defeated Chase Olson and Lyle Hughs 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 2 doubles match.
