Whatcom County government offices will be closed Friday, Oct. 5, the last of 10 closure days in 2012 to save money. Most county employees will have the day off without pay.
District and Superior courts will remain open, and the ferry to Lummi Island will continue to operate, as will senior centers and parks.
The county expected to save $719,000 this year through the closures.
