The Sehome volleyball team defeated Bellingham 25-22, 25-19, 21-25, 25-19 in a Northwest Conference match Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Bellingham.

"Bellingham came out and played great defense," Sehome coach Kristy White said in a phone interview. "I was impressed with our defense and with the team because we came from behind in every single game we won."

The Mariners were led by Kendra Thomas with 17 digs, Megan Greer with 43 assists and five aces and Taylor Lyall with 10 kills.

"I thought Megan did a fantastic job of setting," White said. "She got the ball every time and set well outside."
