McKinna Larson led the Nooksack Valley volleyball team in a 25-19, 25-22, 25-11 victory over Ferndale in a Northwest Conference match Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Nooksack.

"McKinna did a really good job spreading the ball around and on defense," Nooksack Valley coach Jennifer Simmons said in a phone interview. "It was a really consistent night from her."

Larson had 16 assists, six aces and seven digs. McKenzie Impero had 10 kills and two aces for the Pioneers.

"It was by far our most consistent and best match of the season," Simmons said. "We were really aggressive and served really tough tonight."

The Pioneers improved to 3-2, 3-1 NWC and will travel to Squalicum on Thursday, Oct. 2, while Ferndale (4-4, 3-3) will host Lynden Christian.
