The Bellingham girls' swim team defeated Anacortes 104-81 in a Northwest Conference meet Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Anacortes.
"It was a close, hard-fought meet," Bellingham coach Jeff Anderson said. "I think our depth really came through. We had some good second and third place finishes that helped us out if we didn't win the events."
Bellingham was led by Maddie Gillman, who won all four events she participated in.
"Maddie continues her winning streak. She just keeps winning and that's nice to see," Anderson said. "Overall I am pleased. They have been working hard and are still ready to swim fast at meets."
Gillman won the 100 freestyle with a time of 59.25 seconds. She also won the 50 freestyle in 27.39.
Bellingham is now 2-2, 2-2 NWC and will host Ferndale on Thursday, Oct. 4.
