Man stabbed by unknown suspect while walking on Mission Road

EVERSON — A 30-year-old man received non-life threatening injuries Friday, Sept. 28, after he was stabbed while walking on Mission Road in Whatcom County.

Deputies responded to a call about 6 a.m. near E. Pole Road to a report that a man had been stabbed in the abdomen by an unknown suspect, said Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Scott Huso.

The victim could not describe the suspect and was uncooperative with deputies, said Huso. He was transported to St. Joseph hospital for treatment.

Deputies could not determine the exact location of the stabbing incident and no weapon was located.

The suspect does not pose a threat to the general public, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
