BELLINGHAM - David Kammen, a renewable energy expert at the University of California, will discuss possibilities for local renewable energy systems at a lecture set for 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Bellingham High School auditorium.
Kammen is a coordinating lead author for the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. He also hosted the Discovery Channel series "Ecopolis," and is an energy advisor to the Obama administration.
The event is sponsored by RE Sources for Sustainable Communities and includes a sustainability fair of exhibits set up by local organizations, beginning at 6:30 p.m. A $7 donation is suggested. More information: re-sources.org.
