Forward Leonard Kusina had a pair of assists as Western Washington University continued its excellent play at home with a 4-1 win over Saint Martin's University on Thursday, Sept. 27, at WWU.

The Vikings improved to 4-4-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the GNAC as they opened a five-game home stand. WWU is unbeaten in five home contests this season with a 4-0-1 record.

Saint Martin's fell to 2-7-0 overall and 1-4-0 in league play.

Sujinda Dangvan opened the scoring in the 14th minute with his fourth goal of the year, taking a pass from Kusina, beating a defender with a stepover and then deftly finishing with a low, soft shot inside the right post.

Andrew Weishaar doubled the margin 90 seconds before halftime, taking a short through ball from Sawyer Preston and scoring from 12 yards, his second of the year.

Less than five minutes into the second half, the score was 3-0. Kurtis Pederson sent a long ball that Kusina flicked into the path of Justin Moore. Moore then hit a looping volley from 17 yards for his fourth goal of the season.

Uche Ugwoaba made it 4-0 in the 52nd minute, finishing his first collegiate goal after intercepting a pass at the top of the penalty area.
