Western Washington University's Mark Strickland and Anna Bourland were named Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's and women's golfers of the week for Sept. 23-29.

Strickland, a sophomore from Mukilteo, shot a 7-under par 209 to lead the Vikings to victory at their own 41st Annual WWU Invitational.

Bourland, a sophomore from Bainbridge and graduate of Bainbridge High School, tied for 10th place at the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. She had a 36-hole total of 151 with rounds of 76 and 75.
