Published: September 28, 2012

The Lynden Christian volleyball team lost to Anacortes in a Northwest Conference match 25-18, 25-15, 25-15 on Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Lynden.

"I thought the first game we played right there with them and they pulled away at the end," Lynden Christian coach Kim Grycel said in a phone interview. "I felt much better about tonight than I did Tuesday. We improved a lot."

The Lyncs were led by Morgan Van Kooten with three kills and six blocks, Hannah Wynstra with eight kills and four blocks and Madison Weg with 22 assists and five digs.

"I felt OK losing to them as they are one of the toughest 2A teams," Grycel said.

Lynden Christian is now 2-4, 2-3 NWC and will play at Ferndale on Thursday, Oct. 4.
