The Ferndale volleyball team won 25-16, 25-20, 25-14 in a Northwest Conference match against Blaine on Thursday, Sept. 27, in Ferndale.
"It was a good match. We were really working on keeping our intensity high on our side of the net and we did a good job of that," Ferndale coach Patti Hoelzle said in a phone interview. "We are looking ahead to a hard week and we're wanting to prepare for that."
The Golden Eagles were led by Grace Bills with 10 kills and three aces and Tori Fox with four aces.
Ferndale had 14 aces as a team.
"It was a great serving game as a team," Hoelzle said.
Ferndale improved to 4-3, 3-2 NWC and will play at Nooksack Valley on Tuesday, Oct. 2, while Blaine (0-6, 0-5 NWC) will travel to Meridian.
