The Sehome girls' soccer team continued its undefeated streak by defeating Mount Baker 4-0 in a Northwest Conference match on Thursday, Sept. 27, at Mount Baker.
Hannah Mankle scored first for the Mariners in the 10th minute.
"I thought the game was OK for us," Sehome coach Andria Fountain said in a phone interview. "We did a really good job of passing and focusing on playing our game. They really packed the defense on us and made us work for the goals we got."
Emily Webster, Teya Mischaikov and Haidyn Weight also scored for Sehome.
"We had a couple of people step up and get goals that don't normally," Fountain said. "It was nice to have other people score, too. Emily Brandland couldn't do much about the shots we made."
Sehome keeper Rachel Albert registerd zero saves in the shutout.
"I think she touched the ball one time," Fountain said.
Sehome improved to 9-0-1, 6-0-0 NWC and will play at Bellingham on Tuesday, Oct. 2, while Mount Baker (2-5-2, 0-4-1 NWC) will host Lynden.
