Mount Baker finishes second in girls' cross country

The Mount Baker girls' cross country team was led by Rachael Hatcher and Kelsie Nern as it finished second in a three-team Northwest Conference meet on Wednesday, Sept. 26, in Burlington.

Burlington-Edison won the meet with a score of 34 points, Mount Baker earned 41 points and Ferndale had 50 points.

Hatcher finished first with a time of 20 minutes, 17 seconds and Nern finished in 20:26.

Makalee Latta finished third and had a time of 20:35 for the Golden Eagles.

Katherine Dunford had the third best time for Mount Baker running a 22:05.

Jillian Anderson ran a 21:08 for Ferndale.
