Squalicum boys' tennis falls to Burlington-Edison 6-1

The Squalicum boys' tennis team lost to Burlington-Edison 6-1 in a Northwest Conference match on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Squalicum.

"I was pleased with the good intense doubles play. It was close throughout," Squalicum coach Joe O'Brien said in a phone interview. "All of the doubles matches went to three sets. It was a lot of fun to watch."

Squalicum's Zach Hart and Aaron Morris lost in No. 1 doubles to Conner Saben and Jake Camps 2-6, 6-3, 7-6.

"Tavo (O'Connell) is playing really strong," O'Brien said. "I was impressed with his singles play. He is coming along really well. I am looking forward to Sehome on Friday."

Squalicum fell to 3-6, 3-6 NWC and will play at Sehome on Friday, Sept. 28.
