The Upfront Theatre, 1208 Bay St., will welcome back students Friday and Saturday, Sept 28-29, by offering free admission to all students for the 10 p.m. shows both nights. There also will be shows at 8 p.m. for The Upfront's usual special student price of $8. General admission is $10.

All shows will be a format called "Hodgepodge," a high-energy mix of short- and long-form improv. The weekend also marks The Upfront's return to six shows per weekend: at 8 and 10 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Details: 360-733-8855, theupfront.com.
