Lynden had to change up its singles lineup and was able to defeat Sedro-Woolley 4-3 in boys' tennis action Friday, Sept. 21, at Lynden.
The Lions (3-4, 3-4 NWC) had to juggle it's No. 2 through No. 4 singles lineup due to injury and got a win out of Jon Lucka at No. 4. Lucka won 6-2, 6-0 in his first varsity match.
"I was really impressed with Jon Lucka," Lynden coach Trey Ballard said in a phone interview. "The singles stepped up."
The Lions swept the doubles with wins by Jay Roper/Mikal Olson, Luke Reardon/Toby Dalla Santa and Trevor Dalla Santa/Brock Benner.
Sedro-Woolley dropped to 1-6, 1-6 NWC.
