If you're registered to vote in the Nov. 6 general election, Oct. 6 is the last day to change your address by mail. You can change your address online at myvote.wa.gov and in person at the Whatcom County Auditor's Office through Oct. 8.
If you are not yet a registered voter and want to vote in the Nov. 6 election, you can register online until Oct. 8 and have until Oct. 29 to register in person at the auditor's office in the County Courthouse, 311 Grand Ave., Bellingham.
Mail-in registration forms, which can be found at public libraries and senior centers among other spots, need to be postmarked by Oct. 6. The Whatcom County Auditor's Office says though the official deadline is Oct. 8, the postal service isn't processing mail Sunday, Oct. 7, or Monday, Oct. 8, which is the Columbus Day holiday.
Ballots will be mailed to voters Oct. 19. They must be postmarked or dropped off in a ballot box by Nov. 6 to be valid for the election.
Deadline information for voter registration address changes was corrected Sept. 28, 2012.
