Red Raiders get past Trojans in four sets

Bellingham was able to get past host Meridian 24-26, 25-22, 25-22, 25-15 in Northwest Conference volleyball action Thursday, Sept. 20.

The win improved the Red Raiders to 3-1, 2-1 NWC while the Trojans dropped to 1-2, 0-2 NWC.

Meridian coach Shannon Claeys thought her team played well despite the loss.

"I was proud of them," Claeys said in a phone interview. "We were playing our best volleyball yet. Bellingham is a good team."

Sydney Wasilewski led Meridian with 15 kills and 20 digs. Allecia Galindo had nine kills and 13 digs, and Rachel Hofbauer had 16 digs for the Trojans.

Olivia Halverson led the Red Raiders with 15 kills.
