The Sehome boys' cross country team defeated Ferndale and Blaine in a Northwest Conference meet on Wednesday, Sept. 19, in Ferndale.

Sehome scored 31 points, Ferndale had 40 and Blaine 63.

"It was really close," Ferndale coach Nick Carlson said in a phone interview. "We had three of our guys in the top 6 and had a pretty strong showing, but Sehome is very strong. It was a great turnout."

Tom Bradley from Blaine finished first in 16 minutes, 20 seconds and Ferndale's Connor Jungkuntz finished second six seconds later. Sehome's Reed Henderson was third with a time of 17:16, followed one second later by teammate Conner Johnsen.

"Tom ran a strong race, but I was happy with Connor finishing just six seconds behind," Carlson said.
